Prangan zone – The sporting world reacted to the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday with the cancellation of cricket, golf, rugby and cycling series, while others observed a minute’s silence.
The Queen, who was Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, died peacefully at her home in Scotland at the age of 96.
The second day of the third cricket Test and Friday’s deciding match between England and South Africa at The Oval was postponed as a courtesy, while the domestic Rachel Hayhoe Flint Trophy match was called off.

As the English Football League (EFL) canceled two matches scheduled for Friday, West Ham United fans sang a rousing “God Save the Queen” ahead of their European Conference League clash against Romanian side FCSB on Thursday.
A minute’s silence was observed during the Europa League match where the England team and players wore black armbands.
“A decision on the remaining matches this weekend will be made on Friday morning following further consultation with DCMS and other sporting bodies as well as a review of official bereavement guidelines,” the EFL said.

Friday’s Scottish Championship match between Cove Rangers and Dundee was also postponed by the Scottish Professional Football League.
