
To support the success of football, especially in Gorontalo province, the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) together with Asprov PSSI Gorontalo organized the AFC Diploma C License Coach Training, which was held on Thursday (15/15/2018) at Damil Hotel Ballroom in Gorontalo City. 9/2022).

Through his speech, the Youth and Sports Minister said that improving the quality of football coaches is an important concern of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Because coaches have a big role in producing quality footballers.
“One of the prerequisites for the development of our football is the human resource (HR) issue. Human resources must be qualified and well qualified. Many factors can change all that, coach. So we understand that the presence of a coach is very important,” said the Youth and Sports Minister
He hopes that this training can be an important resource for players to continue their careers as quality coaches. This is an important reason for the Ministry of Youth and Sports to support the PSSI program in Gorontalo. Furthermore, the Minister of Youth and Sports considered that many national footballers came from Gorontalo several years ago. Because of this, it is expected that there will be a rebirth of football athletes from Gorontalo in the coming years.

Meanwhile, Penjagub Hamka Gorontalo expressed gratitude to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Chairman of PSSI and his staff for providing the opportunity in the province. Hamka’s big hope is that this training will produce quality coaches, who will also produce Gorontalo football athletes who will be skilled in strengthening the Indonesian national team.

This C license coach training also brings together former soccer players from Gorontalo who competed in the Firman Utina national team, as well as players from other national teams and young U-20 players.
